Seven time Grammy Award winner Kacey Musgraves has announced her fifth studio album with her newest single, ‘Deeper Well‘
The title track and first single from the new album is a blissfully beautiful snapshot back into the world of Kacey Musgraves. Her soft vocals, acoustic guitar and gentle keys permeate the track, cocooning you in a warm hug.
Moving away from her country sound found in her critically acclaimed 2018 album, ‘Golden Hour‘, the single leans more into the folk and Americana sound of her 2021 album, ‘Star-Crossed‘.
The lyricism of the track is perhaps the most intriguing part; bringing together her upbringing in Texas, horoscopes, the “dark energy” of a lover and her morning routine of smoking weed. Fusing typical Americana tropes while bringing more unusual themes to the genre.
The album is due to be released on 15th March via Interscope/MCA Nashville.
