Ahead of her debut album, ‘Million Dollar Baby’, Liverpool Artist Pixey drops new single ‘Bring Back The Beat’
Liverpool singer/songwriter/producer Pixey has given us a new single โBring Back the Beat,โ before her upcoming debut album, โMillion Dollar Baby.โ This album, written over a year and a half, is no doubt going to be a lengthy pop saga and the single gives a peek at that.
Inspired by the last thirty years of pop music, it is a combination of 90s dance music and more modern guitar riffs that become subsequently more speedy. This new single fits perfectly into the modern pop scene.ย
The first half is heavily mixed, with a combination of instrumentals and overlaid vocals, with the general trend continuing as the track fades. Then the second verse starts, opened with poppy choruses before the rest of the song gives us a youthful, energetic side to Pixey and rings of both techno and popular music genres: breathy solos and a bassy and brassy backing.
The album will no doubt bring us quite far back in time, then back to the modern era. While, not the most novel, it is nostalgic and will still remain a classic example of 2024 indie pop.
