Norwich’s Floral Image bring their new album ‘Gone Down Meadowland’ to The Lanes, Bristol for a dreamy, relaxed and joyous performance
Floral Image took to the stage at The Lanes with a confident ease. Their sound, layered, melodic and subtly psychedelic, blissfully intertwined hazy charm and rhythmic clarity. The Lanes itself provided the perfect backdrop, with its retro, character-filled interior lending a relaxed and slightly offbeat edge to the night.
While their recordings lean into dreamy introspection, the live performance brings an added energy that keeps things moving without losing nuance. Each tracks built organically, with shimmering guitar textures and smooth vocal lines that felt both familiar and fresh. The audience was quickly drawn into the band’s warm, groove driven atmosphere, and interaction from Nolan and Warner further fuelled the joyous undertones of their performance.
