Henry Moodie brought his ‘Good Old Days’ tour to The Roundhouse for a celebration of his new EP and a career-defining performance
Henry Moodie took centre stage at London’s Roundhouse for a standout headline performance, marking one of the celebratory last few shows of his tour and the release of his new EP, โGood Old Daysโ. The Roundhouse was the ideal setting for Henryโs nostalgic and heartfelt songs.ย
Opening acts James McVey (from The Vamps) and newcomer Ben Ellis set the tone for the evening. McVey brought a touch of familiarity, connecting easily with fans of both The Vamps and Moodie. Meanwhile, Ellis, with his fresh sound, provided an impressive set with original material that hinted at a promising career ahead.
As Moodie took the stage in front of the artwork of eyes behind him, the energy in the room surged. Henryโs performance of โPick Up The Phoneโ was a crowd pleaser, with the audience singing along to every word. A highlight of the night was Moodieโs cover of ‘Iris‘ by the Goo Goo Dolls.
The choice of cover, both a 90s classic and a timeless favorite, revealed Moodieโs knack for bridging generations and genres. Henry Moodieโs performance was a pivotal moment in his career, with him quoting that it was the most โmost surreal night of my lifeโ.ย
