Los Angeles based indie/pop rocker Maisyn has released her debut single ‘Cool Grl’ which has vibes similar to artists such as Haim and Taylor Swift.
The song begins with Maisyn’s low, raw and captivating vocals which is joined by a sparse beat and a lush, flowing soundscape. As the song goes the beat gets stronger, the soundscape becomes fuller and we’re met with some gorgeously tight, yet subtle harmonies. After the second chorus you have this beautiful section where everything drops out apart from a soft piano, almost acting as a breather before everything comes crashing back in for the final chorus. A song that feels strong yet vulnerable at the same time.
This is an incredible debut single from Maisyn and one you definitely don’t want to miss!
