In preparation for the release of their new album, ‘Tired Of Tomorrow’ on May 13th, the guys from NOTHING have released a dark and surreal music video for new track ‘Eaten By Worms’. Alongside a number of US dates, NOTHING have two shows lined up for the upcoming album’s release day – an unplugged set at Rough Trade East followed by a show at London’s Moth Club.
It is certain that ‘Eaten By Worms’ is a track that digs up the melancholic feelings that often occur when contemplating your own existence. As stated by lead singer Domenic Palermo himself, the track deals with this experience and explores the process of moving through it and finding some acceptance. Teamed up with filmmaker Kevin Haus, Palermo has directed a music video which perfectly captures the atmospheric highs and lows of both the track itself and the themes it strives to explore. With the lyrical work both brash and sombre all at once, the instrumentation builds up to numerous climaxes which perfectly demonstrate the turmoil of such a self critical experience.
With the May 13th release of ‘Tired Of Tomorrow’ through Relapse Records fast approaching, the boundless creative energies surging through the work of NOTHING only serve to heighten the anticipation ahead of the upcoming album release. Along with a number of upcoming shows, there is much to come from NOTHING in the coming weeks and months to watch out for.
