Australian folk singer Grace Cummings releases new track ‘Common Man‘ ahead of new album ‘Ramona‘, out on 5th April

Coming off the back off single ‘On and On‘, Grace Cummings is back with another track from her upcoming album ‘Ramona‘; set to be released on April 5th via ATO Records. ‘Common Man‘ reaches back to the golden era of country and western, drenched in dreams of grandeur and heartache over the humdrum.ย

Cummings‘ voice is powerful yet soulful as it roars over the track in some places, and runs over it like honey in others. The Australian folk singer tells the story of wanting more out of life with romantic vignettes infused with the spirit of country music. Grace conjures vast images of waking up with the sunrise, of believing in the sun. She belts out her dreams, singing โ€œI am a cowboy, I ride and I ride. My idea of heaven, and a pistol by my side.โ€ย

It’s smokey and dreamlike, bluesily orchestrated with ample strings, and leaves you wanting more. Luckily more is coming. Alongside the album, Cummings will embark on a world tour this year, coming to the UK in the last week of May. But you can listen to the first two singles now, and lose yourself in the world of cowboys and Grace’s beautiful voice.ย
