American singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine has released her brand new track, ‘I Guess‘, from her third studio album, ‘Older

The track is the second single to be released, following the title track of her new album which debuted in February. Like ‘Older‘, ‘I Guess‘ is rooted in simplicity, a slow, meandering track, putting the singer’s beautifully mellow vocals at the forefront.

Featuring the soft sound of a guitar and keyboard throughout, ‘I Guess‘ kicks into a higher gear a minute into the song. McAlpine’s soft vocals permeate the single and the introduction of brass instruments gives layers and textures to an otherwise monotonous rhythm.

The song looks at her struggles with looking for a romantic partner and all the anxieties that come with it, all of it displayed within her beloved folk sound.
