After nearly 1,000 applications from artists around the globe, LOUD WOMEN Fest have announced a packed first lineup

LOUD WOMEN is championing the most exciting new female talent rising up from the grassroots and alternative music scene.

Announced artists include COWZ – fresh off the back of their appearance at Brighton’s Great Escape last week – and rising stars LibraLibra and The Dollheads. The festival will showcase more international artists than ever before, including German rapper Breezy and Turkish pop-punk duo Hipersona

Also confirmed are Northampton-based grime MC FFSYTHO?!, dirty pop four-piece Shallow Honey, DIY punk outfit T-Bitch and the returning I, Doris

Now in its 7th year, LOUD WOMEN Fest has established itself as an alternative music pipeline to support female artists from grassroots to glasto. Hailed as ‘the antidote to male-heavy festival lineups’ , the initiative is much-needed; while improving, festival lineup gender diversity is far from fair – and certainly far from 50-50.

As a festival with activism at its heart, LOUD WOMEN Fest will be attended by speakers from organisations including Safe Gigs for Women, Bloody Good Period, and Alliance for Choice (Northern Ireland).

The day festival will be held on 16 September at London’s Rich Mix.
