This newly formed band from Salisbury forme under a shared love for bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Sunny Day Real Estate & Jawbox. This shared love for 90’s grunge is ever present in their music, particularly latest release ‘Chains’.
The song starts with a melancholy guitar line that slowly builds into a cacophony of noise. The emotive vocals push forward and instantly you are thrown back to the glory days of 90’s grunge. It’s a nostalgic sound that remains incredibly fresh.
It’s likely going to be an exciting year for Oversize with hopefully more releases on the way. In the meantime though you can catch them in Bristol January 29th at the Exchange.
