One of London’s most promising new acts, pencil, have announced the release of debut EP ‘Bohemian Clutter‘, alongside new single ‘Silent Corners’

On 9th May, London indie newcomers pencil will drop their debut EP ‘Bohemian Clutter’. The six song EP will bring the usual melodic indie shown by pencil to a whole new scale, as hinted to by new single ‘Silent Corners’.

Silent Corners‘ tells a story in its music alone; the sound develops from a cleaner and easier sound to an almost scary mix that shows off the culmination of all the buildup going on throughout the song. The instrumental side of this track forms a sound that has become rare within current indie music trends, just reminding everyone that the band know their sound and still remain loyal to it.

When you release a single like this before an EP, it sets up a real buzz around the eventual release of it, especially with this track being of such a high quality and interesting sound. With attention already having been gained from their recent support of The Japanese House, it would be no surprise if ‘Bohemian Clutter‘ brought the band to a whole new level, which would be no less than they deserve.
