South Africa bred artist Prism Tats has announced his sophomore album ‘Mamba’, the album is due March 2nd via ANTI-Records. As expected from the artist the album should be a collection of psyched out garage rock that is layered in heavy hooks and infectious riffs.
Recorded with producer Chris Woodhouse (Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall), ‘Mamba’ explores themes of self-inflicted isolation, working-class hopelessness, and the emotional damage of technology addiction. “Most of these new songs came from taking in what’s going on in the world today, and being afraid of the future we’re headed toward,” notes Garett van der Spek, the L.A.-based singer/songwriter behind Prism Tats.
In addition to this he has also released the single and video for ‘Daggers’, taken from the forthcoming LP the track is a menacing garage rock track that has an insatiable pace. The video that accompanies is also worthy of note due to its comedic style, similar to a Tim and Eric sketch.
