Liverpool indie rock bandย RATSย have announced the release ofย โPatsy Declineโ, the first release on new labelย This Feeling Records, launched in partnership withย Warner Music Groupโs, ADA Label Services.ย
โPatsy Declineโ immediately bursts into life with an insistent, spiralling riff that revitalises the indie anthem tradition. Frontman Joe Maddocksโ mixes a touch of Jamie Tโs cadence with elements of Mike Skinnerโs observational wordplay.
The song was recorded atย Liverpoolโsย renownedย Parr Street Studiosย with producerย Chris Taylorย (The Lathums,ย Blossoms) and was mastered byย Christian Wrightย atย Abbey Road.ย
The band are four childhood friends that met on the streets of Liverpool. Frontman Joe explains the band name came after โSomebody sprayed it on our old studio door after a party where there was an argument and thatโs when I first saw it as a name!โ.
Founder ofย This Feeling, Mikey Jonnsย commented,ย โItโs beyond amazing to have a label at last, after eight years of slogging around the country, we now have a real opportunity to give bands the chance to compete on the same level as their idols.โ
