My name is Uchechi, and I am a 21 year old law student from the north of Scotland. Outside of my studies, I am a avid concert goer and music enthusiast. Photography has also been my passion for as long as I can remember, so getting to combine my two passions through concert photography has been great. When I’m not with my camera or typing with my keyboard, I am enjoying nature with my friends.
Remi Wolf lit up Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom with an absolutely world class performance
Last Friday, Remi Wolf lit up Glasgow’s beloved Barrowland Ballroom with a performance that proved she’s not just on the rise—she’s on the brink of becoming a massive star. After recently opening for Olivia Rodrigo on her stadium tour, Wolf’s ‘Big Ideas’ tour felt like a statement: she’s here, and she’s making her presence known.
Opening the night was Maddie Jay, Wolf’s guitarist who doubles as an amazing solo act. Her set had the crowd excited, and helped set the tone for the rest of the show.

What sets Remi apart was her raw talent. Her vocals were great throughout, and you could tell how much she truly enjoys being on stage. A standout moment being for me vocally was when she sang ‘Alone in Miami’. It was such an energy fuelled performance and the song has been on repeat in my since. I liked Remi’s music before I saw her live, and I now am solidified as a Remi Wolf fan.

Visually, the show was also captivating. The lighting added to the performance and the vibrant lights mirrored Remi’s colourful personality and clothing. One of my favourite moments from the night is when she improvised a song using three words shouted out by the crowd. It was funny, catchy and I wouldn’t mind it being an album addition.

Between tracks, she shared anecdotes about her travels and life, making the show feel a bit intimate and helping us get to know the 28 year-old star.
Glasgow couldn’t get enough of her, and it’s obvious why. There’s no doubt in my mind that her career is going to continue to rise, and I’m excited to see where she will be this time next year. Remi is a unique and powerful voice and Glasgow can’t wait to to welcome her back soon.
