The London alt-rock starlets bring another swaggering track, in preparation for their debut record

Few bands are rising faster through the poppy alt-rock ranks then Sad Boys Club, the raucous London quartet spreading their unique twist on modern rock like wildfire. â€˜Delicious’, the second single ahead of upcoming debut album â€˜Lullabies From The Lightning Tree’, has arrived, continuing to cement a solid foundation for the record.

‘Delicious’ is a perfect example of what makes this quartet run. A slick dose of glossy pop rock which also retains a rawer, rough-around-the-edges aesthetic. A difficult juxtaposition to execute for sure, but Sad Boys Club nail it. The guitar tones across â€˜Delicious’ scream the nineties, the subtle synthesiser and string inflections adding more texture and sheen to the track. Despite the pop sensibilities here, this new cut still has a moody, angsty aura – think London nineties alternative meets Los Angeles pop rock.

These London upstarts are slowly marking their territory, boasting their musical prowess with yet another acute track. It sets even higher hopes for their full length, which is sure to be a dazzling debut.

‘Lullabies From The Lightning Tree’ is out May 5th via Modern Sky.
