Sons of the East are a three piece indie folk band from Australia and, after a long wait, they release their debut album ‘Palomar Parade’. Having been flying fairly low on the radar, Sons of the Eastโ€™s stock skyrocketed when their track โ€˜Hold Onโ€™ was featured on an influential blog.

When you listen to ‘Palomar Parade‘ though, itโ€™s clear that itโ€™s more than just luck and good song placement that have earned Sons of the East popularity. From the upbeat folk country of opener โ€˜Hard Playing Hard To Getโ€™ to the dusky blues ballad of โ€˜Not All My Faultโ€™, Sons Of The East create beautifully written songs that sound as though theyโ€™ve got years of experience on them.

โ€˜On My Wayโ€™ has a bounce to it that will bring sunshine to your day and vocals that youโ€™ll instantly want to sing along to. โ€˜Tail Lightsโ€™ leans more towards country with slide guitar soaring through the track and vocal harmonies that lift the track to a gorgeous place.

โ€˜Palomar Paradeโ€™ is a beautiful album that feels like a classic rather than a debut. With hints of Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and Garth Brooks, the blend of folk and country sounds equal parts grand and intimate. As a debut album, Sons Of The East have hit the ground running with โ€˜Palomar Paradeโ€™. With a knack for classic songwriting and glorious vocal harmonies, Sons Of The East will instantly turn heads with this glorious debut album.
