Bristol’s Simple Things Festival has announced its first wave of acts for 2026, with guest curation from Squid, Shabaka and Jeremy Deller
For its 2026 edition, Bristol’s Simple Things Festival has announced the first wave of its lineup. Simple Things will take place on 7th November 2026, spread across 6 of the city’s best venues: Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade, Sportsmans, The Island and Shredenhams.
This year, the lineup will be partly put together by four exciting guest curators. Amongst these are Bristol post-punk favourites Squid and jazz legend Shabaka (Sons Of Kemet, The Comet Is Coming), who will both be performing as well as curating. Alongside these is artist Jeremy Deller, as well as a special guest, yet to be announced.
In addition to these curators’ lineups, the festival has announced many other names, from a wide range of experimental genres. Experimental folk fans will be pleased to see familiar names like caroline, My New Band Believe and Ugly returning to Bristol, while Tony Bontana and Mykkiย Blanco will be pleasant surprises for hip-hop fans in the know.
There’s plenty of electronic music too, with Nathan Fake, Gold Panda and Safety Trance joining the 2026 lineup. PVA will bring their dark synth pop to the city, while Panda Bear and Sonic Boom are sure to provide the most psychedelic moment of the day.
