Speedy Wunderground released their latest endeavour in the form of another mesmerising single release – ‘Wrong Party’: a collaboration between double platinum Polish artist Brodka and Dan Carey’s Scottibrains. After a painfully long Covid enforced break, Speedy Wunderground are back and better than ever with their 35th one off pressing. The track is a hypnotic ballad seamlessly intertwined with janky synths, a truly perfect sound to get a groove on to. Brodka says “Sometimes we are all drawn to a person or situation that is bad for us, so bad you want to set it on fire, but the desire is so strong, we can’t resist it. That’s what ‘Wrong Party’ is about.”
‘Wrong Party’ is an instant classic treading on the fragmented line between punk and pop. It leaves nothing to be desired, it fills you up from head to toe, coursing through your veins – it’s everything you expect and surprising at the same time. It’s a walking talking juxtaposition and it’s just fucking magical. The physical vinyl release will be available to purchase on the 26th of January and in true Speedy Wundergrond style it will be limited to 500 copies.
