Australia’s Stella Donnelly will release her third full-length album, ‘Love and Fortune’, on November 7th – via Brace Yourself Records
After three years away, Stella Donnelly is once again proving her never waning status as one of the finest songwriters in Australia and the rest of the world – following her stunning double A-side release, ‘Baths / Standing Ovation’, earlier this month, both of which will appear on the upcoming long-player.
After breaking through in 2018 with the success of her debut EP, ‘Thrush Metal’, and the popularity of ‘Boys Will Be Boys’, Stella Donnelly has gained quite the reputation and audience via her previous two albums: 2019’s literate, playful and deeply meaningful debut record ‘Beware of the Dogs’ and 2022’s ‘Flood’, a deeper, beautiful record that saw a sharp yet welcomed change in style.
With that being said, it appears the Naarm based musician releases a gem of an album every three years – bringing us to 2025 with ‘Love and Fortune’ drawing near.
Alongside the album’s announcement comes the release of another single in the form of ‘Feel It Change’. Keeping up the trend and going three for three with the previous singles, ‘Feel It Change’ is a love affair of twinkly guitars, some pumping drums and backing vocals that are possibly the second most gorgeous part of a Stella Donnelly song behind the enchanting outro of ‘Restricted Account’.
Equipped with the wit and charm, Donnelly’s signature pronunciation and stark Aussie accent push the chorus to be one of the catchiest she has ever written.
Stella Donnelly’s third album, ‘Love and Fortune’, arrives on November 7th. You can listen to the three singles from the record, ‘Baths’, ‘Standing Ovation’, and ‘Feel It Change’, now!
