The punk duo announced today that The Pill will be ceasing after an intense touring year that has taken its mental toll on the pair, in particular Lily Hutchings
The Isle Of Wight punk duo formed of Lily Hutchings and Lottie Massey, who went as The Pill, has today called an end to the band. The duo announced this via their socials stating that burn out and exhaustion after an intense touring schedule in 2025 has led for them to call it a day, in particular Lily Hutchings struggling to recoup and recover.
You can read the full statement that was shared via the bands socials here:
The band grew exponentially on TikTok and Instagram with their short, biting music that was bundled in a Wet Leg-a-la-Panic Shack package. It was raucous, wild, and delivered poignance through simplicity. Top tracks included ‘Woman Driver’, ‘Bale of Hay’, and ‘Money Mullet’. Although they had a lot of fans and built a large audience, as always with female fronted bands they faced just as much criticism… mostly from men.
