L.A. Band The Regrettes will return with their third album, ‘Further Joy’, on April 8th, as well as dropping a new single โThatโs What Makes Me Love Youโ.ย
After playing Coachella, Reading & Leeds and lots of US Talk show appearances, The Regrettes seemed unstoppable.ย But as with many others, lockdown hit them hard. The band retreated to Joshua Tree and crafted their new album ‘Further Joy’, which, by the sounds of the brilliant three singles, is a lot more poppy and fun than anything theyโve made before.ย
Lead singer Lydia wants the album to tell fans that they โall deserve happiness and to be presentโ and the infectious new single โThatโs What Makes Me Love You’ sums this up perfectly. The catchy chorus and laid back beat stick with you, making it a real earworm. It’s short and very sweet, a perfect pop song.
The new album offers tracks tackling subjects such as mental health and sexuality while never losing hope and happiness. As the band describes it, the album is about โembracing and standing up for your inner childโ.
‘Further Joy’ will be released on April 8th via Warner Records and is available for pre-order now.
