The Velvet Hands return to Cornwall for a special show at The Old Bakery with support from other Cornish artists such as The Rezner, FacePaint, and SMACK.
It’s been a long time coming but the boys are finally back in town, well they will be on Friday 10th September 2021. If you’ve been involved in any capacity in the Cornish music scene, whether that be a punter or worker then you know that all four of these bands have the ability to blow speakers and minds, in one fell strike of the guitar. To see all of them on one bill is truly a treat and one that we should all be indulging.
This is a rare opportunity to watch the cream of Cornwall’s indie-punk bands under one roof, especially as they’re all crafting their sound in cities such as London, Brighton, and Bath. The Velvet Hands have found great success in Cornwall and now in London, their new home. They’ve played countless sold out shows in the big smoke, festival appearances up and down the country and bountiful amounts of radio play. The Rezner are chipping at their heels though, with a determination and passion that is wildly infectious. They’ve only recently landed on the shores of London but they’ll no doubt conquer it in no time. FacePaint are off to Brighton, where they are going to absolutely crush and SMACK have been making lots of noise in Bath.
Each band formed in Truro College, a place that breeds musical talent for the county. This show is a homage to that breeding ground, a moment to enjoy what Cornwall has to offer. Be sure to grab your tickets whilst you can, this will almost certianly sell out.
We’ve personally watched each band multiple times and it never disappoints, this is a must see gig in the Cornish music calendar.
