Back and better than ever, The Zutons Return after a 16-year long hiatus with news of a UK tour and a new album

Itโ€™s been a long 16 years without them, with their last release in 2008, but it’s finally time for The Zutons to take the stage once again as they release their much anticipated album โ€˜The Big Deciderโ€™ this coming April.

Written against the backdrop of over a decade’s worth of life lived, the record is born under the weight of adulthood and all of the loss, family tragedy, reality checks and home truths faced that comes with it. All of these big ideas are pinned down by the iconic writer and producer Nile Rodgers alongside the band’s original producer Ian Broudie and recorded in none other than Abbey Studios.

After Lead vocalist McCabeโ€™s time in rehab, it was his turning point in positivity that initiated putting together a new album. Bandmate Abi Harding said: โ€œDave has been through an awful lot in the last few years, and these things have obviously really impacted him. But his songwriting has only got better. Now he spends more time on his songs. Heโ€™s in touch with his own and othersโ€™ emotions, and that all goes into the songs.โ€

With a lifetime of chemistry and connection behind them, The Zutons‘ new chapter is already off to a good start, having sold out their run of intimate live shows taking place at the beginning of 2024. Following that, a further 11 dates have now been added.
