Californian duo Tune-Yards announce the release of sixth studio album with their newest single ‘Limelight

Stemming from โ€˜an age of interruptionโ€™, Tune-Yardsโ€™ next album, ‘Better Dreaming‘, will be released on the 16th May via 4AD.

The pair promise a tracklist filled with โ€˜distraction, depression, and heartbreakโ€™ on this new record, creating a cathartic album that offers a well-needed escape from the busy state of todayโ€™s world. With undertones of rebellion, protest, and a raw emotional quality all wrapped up and disguised as upbeat dance music, ‘Better Dreaming‘ looks to be a complex, thoughtful release.

To tease this new era, the pair released their single ‘Limelight last week.ย This track, equipped with a funk-toned groove and cleverly layered harmonies, feels like a perfect track to welcome in the spring sunshine.

Speaking of freedom and celebrating a return to ourselves, ‘Limelight‘ offers an optimistic and yet introspective perspective of modern humanity. It certainly is a very exciting first look at whatโ€™s to come for Tune-Yardsโ€™ new music.ย
