Today Boardmasters 2026 will unveil their Saturday headliner but who could it be?

Today is the day. Boardasters 2026 will unveil their much anticipated Saturday headliner that will join the already announced Kasabian and Fatboy Slim (as well as 100’s of other artists). The rumour mills are spinning like crazy with names such as Olivia Dean, Sam Fender, and even Wunderhorse are flying around. We believe at least two of those can be considered and a few more.

Sam Fender

This is one that almost everyone agrees is a dead certain due to the festivals socials using his music on a few teaser clips. Sam Fender also has a strong connection to the festival where he first played at 17 years old, then main stage, to then headlining two years ago. It seems a little too soon for Sam Fender to play again and frankly, in our opinion would be a shame to see him return so quickly to the line-up. However, there is no doubt that he will put on an incredible show and will be most welcomed by the Boardmasters crowd.

Olivia Dean

Olivia Deanย is another artist that is on the Boardmasters attendees lips. Not only does her sound match the overall vibe and ethos of Boardmasters, theyโ€™ve used her music multiple times on their socials in the buildup to the lineup announcement. Not to mention, Olivia had an amazing 2025 with her single ‘Man I Need’ going viral and getting her plenty of attention on chat shows across the US. 2026 is going to be an even larger year for Olivia Dean and she’s no doubt going to be playing across the country extensively, particularly during festival season. It really is about time she got main stage recognition. Not to mention, do we really want an all male headline for Boardmasters?

The band have grown a LOT since they last played Boardmasters, back in 2024, where they played the BBC Introducing stage. Now, theyโ€™re heading on a HUGE stadium tour across the UK with two critically acclaimed LPโ€™s under their belts. There is no doubt they will continue to grow and dominate the airwaves for the next decade. Theyโ€™re main stage ready and I couldnโ€™t think of a better place for them to play than Boardmasters, a festival that has often championed the next big thing.
