The London based duo 1AM show that they’re sonically matur above their peers with recent track ‘Take Me Home (Cloud Nine) Ft Jake Gooding’
The musical partnership that is 1AM started back in the duo’s teen years and since then, they’ve not looked back. Together, they’ve released a strong of singles that have built up tens of thousands of streams and as we drift into 2024 they’re showing no signs of slowing down. The duo have announced that they’re releasing their debut album this year and shared the first single ‘Take Me Home (Cloud Nine) Ft Jake Gooding’.
The track toys with conflicting ideas of naivety and self awareness and boasts the young duos songwriting ability. This sentiment is bundled in a euphoric bedroom pop bundle all the while being driven forward by soft harmonies. The soft edged sharpen though as Jake Gooding‘s spoken word/rap comes through, taking the song in a new direction. It’s an interesting switch up that shows 1AM‘s ability to keep things fresh and the listener on their toes.
