Canadian indie pop band Alvvays announce 10th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut, out on 15th November
With three excellent albums under their belt, Alvvays are one of the most consistent and recognisable bands in the indie pop world. And, with 2022’s ‘Blue Rev’ somehow exceeding extremely high expectations, they proved they’re not going anywhere.
All the way back in 2014, Alvvays had just dropped their debut self-titled record, featuring tracks such as ‘Adult Diversion’, ‘Party Police’ and ‘Archie, Marry Me’ in one of the best debut albums of the decade. In fact, the biggest hit, ‘Archie, Marry Me’ has recently hit 100 million streams on Spotify, giving the classic nostalgic single the love it truly deserves.
Now, to celebrate 10 years of the record, Alvvays have announced a 10th Anniversary edition in the form of a vinyl re-issue, remastering from Bernie Grundman and a release of deep cut ‘Underneath Us’. With the tracks sounding just as bubbly as they did 10 years ago, we can’t wait to revisit ‘Alvvays’ with a fresh mix and through fresh ears.
