Big Thief drop new EP, ‘Passional Relations,’ featuring unreleased material, to raise money for LA Fire relief

Folk trio Big Thief have today announced the release of their new EP ‘Passional Relations’. The EP contains 5 tracks, previously unreleased, and all proceeds will go towards providing relief to those struggling from the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

While the majority of proceeds will go to the Plus1LA Fires Fund, directly supporting organisations helping with housing, education and animal welfare, the rest will be donated to local musicians, artists and other community members from the area.

Big Thief shared: “Our hearts are broken for everyone affected by the fires in California. Our hope is that these contributions will not only help address the crucial and immediate needs of affected communities but also help sustain the work, identity, and culture of the artists within them.โ€

The five tracks ‘Imagination,’ ‘Light As Light,’ ‘Waiting On Blue,’ ‘Zombie Girl’ and ‘Shadow Too,’ were recorded from 2018-2020 and are some personal favourites from the band’s unreleased catalogue.

The EP is available exclusively on Big Thief’s webstore here.
