Indie rockers Bloc Party are set to play a huge show at London’s Crystal Palace Park, with cult-classic album Silent Alarm played in full

Fresh off the back of tours with both Paramore and Interpol, London indie rockers Bloc Party celebrate their 20 year anniversary in 2024. To mark the occasion, they’re set to play a huge show at London’s Crystal Palace Park on Sunday 7th July, with cult-classic album ‘Silent Alarm’ played in full.

Speaking on the event, Bloc Party co-founder Kele Okereke said: “We’ve been having so much fun playing shows over the past year, so it makes sense to do something special for old and new fans, celebrating twenty years of Bloc Party. We heard from a lot of people that they couldn’t get tickets for the Silent Alarm gigs, so a one-off summer party playing that and the bangers feels like the right thing to do.

The gig will also coincide with the re-releasing of many rare songs, deep cuts and fan favourites to streaming services, making Bloc Party‘s entire discography available to listeners on streaming services for the first time.

This is one you’ll want to arrive promptly for, with a support bill brimming with noteworthy acts. In a UK-exclusive performance, The Hives bring their well-renowned electrifying live show to London with a well-earned main support slot. Indie dance trio Friendly Fires are also set to appear on the bill, whose critically-acclaimed debut album captured the hearts, and dancefloors, of Britain back in 2008. The Mysterines are also set to support, following the release of their debut album, and a tour with the Arctic Monkeys. Connie Constance opens the show, a rising star known for soulful indie rock/pop anthems.

Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.
