The Boardmasters 2024 first wave of acts was filled to the brim with amazing artists but here’s our top 5
Stormzy
Stormzy makes his return to Boardmasters but this time as the Sunday Headliner. The UK rapper has had an incredible career with awards up to his eyebrows, including Brit awards, BET awards, Mobo and MANY more. On top of this the artist has released countless culturally impactful releases such as ‘Vossi Bop’, and a whole discography more. To witness one of the UK’s greatest artists perform with the backdrop of Watergate Bay is going to be nothing short of spectacular.
English Teacher
The rising post-punk (with a dash of indie) has been rising through the ranks in the past year with memorable performances throughout the UK and further afield at SXSW (USA). As we enter 2024 the band is only going to continue to grow into a fully fledged main stage act, so getting to see them at Boardmasters as they blow up will be privileged.
Soft Play
Veteran punks Soft Play (formerly known as Slaves) returned after a hiatus and blew the cobwebs off our ears with the single ‘Punk’s Dead’. In 2024 the band return to Boardmasters to take the crown as one of the most chaotic, loud, and energetic performances at the festival.
The Teskey Brothers
The Teskey Brothers have had a meteoric rise in the last few years that has seen them be nominate for a Grammy, touring the world, and releasing soulful rock music. With the sunshine trickling off our backs, the horizon with coastline as far as the eye can see, The Teskey Brothers are the perfect soundtrack to Boardmasters 2024.
Nia Archives
Nia Archives is almost what the name suggests as the artist is a vault of genres ranging from soul, jazz, liquid, DnB, Jungle, and more all wrapped up into one vibrant package. There’s no doubt that her set at Boardmasters 2024 is going to be one of the most vibrant, interesting, and genre spanning of the weekend.
