Arlo Parks releases first single off of new album ‘Ambiguous Desire’ out April 3rd, along with tour dates.

Along with the announcement of her upcoming album ‘Ambiguous Desire‘, out 3rd April, via Transgressive Records, Arlo Parks has granted their listeners a vibrant new single entitled 2SIDED, which is a melodic, upbeat and atmospheric pop single and offers an insight into what may be found on ‘Ambiguous Desire‘.

Arlo explains the intention of the song as being “about yearning and tension. It’s about being struck by a bolt of desire and building up the courage to put language to that feeling, to make it real.” The song is coupled with a music video directed by Molly Burdett, which fully encapsulates the track’s promotion of “connection through movement, emotion and rhythm”.

A listen to this tune does, rather successfully, transport you to the world Arlo wishes to drop you into. You enter an emotional rollercoaster of sorts with a catchy backbeat and mournful lyrics, whilst Arlo‘s delivery on this tune is a highlight, along with the synthesized musical accompaniments.

This genre of music has a near-universal appeal, which I’m sure Arlo Parks‘ record label loves! All jokes aside, it’s a catchy little tune that is definitely worth a listen.
