A toast to classic British indie, Leeds born quintet Eades are back with their latest single ‘The Other Side of Life’

Packed with the trademark harmonies and modernised alt rock that have come to define the Leeds born quintet since their inception in 2019, ‘The Other Side Of Life’ is about “an ever-growing disdain and disillusionment with the music industry,” says co-lead vocalist Harry Jordan. “We are tied to the other side of life, the filtered version of ourselves, which is the opposite of how I think art should be.”

Set to twangling guitars, confident arrangements and hypnotic drums, Eades’ ode to artistic authenticity in the social media age comes reminiscent of the classic 60s rock that inspires the collective. Featuring a crisp wall of sound and catchy lyricism – think upbeat post-punk that you could still dance to – the production is a promising, self-assured step into the next phase of the band’s artistic growth.

A tease to their national headline tour at the end of the year, ‘The Other Side of Life’ is the third single to be previewed from Eades’ forthcoming second album, ‘Final Sirens Call’ via Breakfast Records, which releases September 18th.
