NORTH CAROLINIAN STAR ELIZA MCLAMB RELEASES DECEPTIVELY CATCHY SINGLE ‘LIKE THE BOYS’

Eliza McLamb‘s journey across releases has quietly established her identity in the crossover world of 90’s pop, indie-folk and alt-rock with ‘Like the Boys‘ she continues to capture hearts and minds.

Produced by Sarah Tudzin of beloved California bandย Illuminati Hottiesย – and backed by members ofย Death Cab For Cutieย andย Lucy Dacusโ€™ band – new single โ€˜Like the Boysโ€™ sits at the intersection of 90s pop, alt-rock and indie-folk, its earworm chorus looking back on wild teenage years as an attempt to gain agency and control.

McLamb reflected on maturing from previous releases and she noted that upcoming album ‘Good Story’ felt free from restrictive frameworks that attached themselves to previous releases, as a result, ‘Like the Boys‘ sounds unrestricted and beautifully energetic.

โ€˜Good Storyโ€™ captures moments of an artist in motion, writing a record about storytelling itself. Eliza says, โ€œItโ€™s an investigation into what a story actually does for me. The point is that not everything fits into a narrative.โ€

Eliza McLamb is refreshingly candid and this honesty is what propels ‘Like the Boys‘ into new territory for the singer-songwriter.
