Seasoned London singer-songwriter, Keaton Henson, tees up his upcoming ninth studio album, ‘Parader’ with a dual release – ‘Past It’ & ‘Loose Ends’

An introvert and an enigma, Henson has gathered a cult following over the last fifteen years – not through relentless touring nor social media and press, but through making beautiful, somber sounds.

Past It’ is a nostalgia-packed, melancholy sounding track looking back on Henson’s lengthy journey as a musician. Reminiscent of Punisher-era Phoebe Bridgers in its sound, Keaton asks of us in the chorus – ‘Who in the hell is still listening?’. The answer is many, with the singles from this album campaign sounding just as good, if not more complete and mature, than Henson’s early career highs. A quite beautiful song.

On ‘Loose Ends’ the melancholic vibe is carried in a different way. Still carrying that Punisher-esque sound, in a way, especially with the record’s Elliott Smith influences, alongside an undercurrent of early 90’s garage rock. The track sees Henson echo ‘Oh me / Oh my’ in a argumentative way over a beat inspired by the music of his youth. Sounding both angry and calming at once.

Keaton Henson’s ninth record, ‘Parader‘, releases November 21st via Play It Again Sam. Don’t miss it!
