Kite Thief’s latest single ‘BITE’ is a visceral track that combines jagged alt-rock with pulsating drums

Mixing the grungy grit of alt-rock and metal with the catchiness of pop, Bristol-based quintet Kite Thief are back with their new single, โ€˜BITEโ€™. The band have released a steady stream of singles and EPs over the past six years, with their latest offering leaning into the raw intensity and emotional vulnerability that they do best.

The single is packed with evocative lyricism โ€“ โ€œcrawling up your spine / a lover and a parasiteโ€ โ€“ as lead vocalist Elin Allan recalls the volatility of a toxic relationship and the destruction left in its wake. Paired with jagged guitars and a pulsating drum beat, โ€˜BITEโ€™ is a visceral track to sink your teeth into.

Despite being written about โ€œpeople who drain joy, love, and energy from everyone they touchโ€, energy is in no short supply on โ€˜BITEโ€™. Itโ€™s an invitation to scream, sweat, and shake the anger out of your system, delivered with searing pop-metal venom.

Fresh from blistering performances at The Great Escape, 2000trees, and Takedown Festival this summer, we canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s next for Kite Thief.
