Los Bitchos tease upcoming studio album and collaborations with ‘Hang Up (Pt 2)’ featuring Adrian Quesada & Sinkane.

“Where are the vocals?”

It’s a question that has never needed to be answered when it comes to Los Bitchos. I’m going to confidently say that any cynics and traditionalists that have asked “Where are the vocals?” have clearly never been to a Bitchos gig and got their hands up with the honey pies in between the band’s rip-roaring on-stage jams.

Regardless, following the release of two albums, (2022’s ‘Let The Festivities Begin!‘ and 2024’s ‘Talkie Talkie‘) Los Bitchos have decided to address their lack of vocals. It started with a brilliantly self-aware, mockumentary-style video on their social media, where a set of upcoming collaborations where initially teased. In it the band play comically frayed versions of themselves where drummer Nic Crawshaw hints at new collaborations but is bleeped out. Meanwhile lead guitarist Serra Petale pleads with the camera, “It was always, ‘get your hands up honey pies! Get your hands up honey pies!’ When were my hands going to get up!?”

Finally Wednesday saw the release of ‘Hang Up (Pt 2)‘ and is the first tease of an upcoming studio album featuring vocalists and guest performers. ‘Hang Up (Pt 2)‘ features the Grammy-winning psych/soul pioneer Adrian Quesada and Sinkane who perfectly embodies Los Bitchos‘s sun-drenched fusion of cultures.

‘Hang Up (Pt 2)‘ is undoubtedly a Los Bitchos song: scorching licks playing against funky bass and hip-swaying drums. But this time sprinkled with Quesada‘s cosmic vocals and Sinkane‘s infectious groove-driven rhythms.

More news shall undoubtedly follow about the upcoming album which is set to mark a new era for Los Bitchos.
