Ahead of the release of their second EP, Bristol’s Minor Conflict drop complex new single ‘Parallels II’

Bristolโ€™s Minor Conflict have given the fans exactly what they want with new single โ€˜Parallels IIโ€™. Building up to the release of the bands second EP โ€˜Parallels EPโ€™ releasing on January 24th 2025, and not too long after the release of first single โ€˜Glueโ€™, this single has retained the high standard set by the previous single and kept the unpredictable nature of the band well-alive.

With a six-minute runtime, this song has a long time to say what it wants to say, and it very well does that. The song is an interesting centrepiece of what will become a trilogy of parallels, breaking the line between electronic and acoustic instruments, showcasing how they really can make anything sound good, even if it has no right to.

The DIY feeling added onto both the experimental and post-rock sound creates a song which stands out from the rest. Even within this already great single song, you can pick out different parts which could grow independently into their own separate track, really showing you how creative the minds in the band are. Overall, โ€˜Parallels IIโ€™ excites me, not just for the EP, but also for what Parallels I and III have to add to this.ย
