‘Egocentric’ is the latest single from Norwegian band Death by Unga Bunga and is their latest single to be taken from upcoming album ‘Heavy Male Insecurity’ (out February 12th via Jansen Records).

With its tongue in cheek chorus of โ€œyou think youโ€™re better than me? Thereโ€™s nobody that will come closeโ€ ‘Egocentric’ is about looking after number one. The music comes with all the swagger to back up the lyrics. Starting with a verse that wouldnโ€™t sound out of place on a Ramones record, ‘Egocentric’ is a glorious blend of power pop and garage rock that will hook you in instantly.

With a middle eight thatโ€™s all Queen-like synth and dual guitar solo, Death by Unga Bunga donโ€™t seem to be afraid to push their sound a little. Itโ€™s not long before the infectious chorus comes back in though to worm its way into your head and have you singing it for the rest of the day.

If ‘Egocentric’ is a sign of how Death by Unga Bungaโ€™s album is shaping up, itโ€™s going to be an essential listen.
