Green Man Festival is truly a music lovers paradise that is nestled in the awe-inspiring Black Mountains of Wales
The festival returns again in 2025 and by the grace of all that is brilliant, CLUNK Will be in attendance again. Last year (2024) was our debut year at the festival but we instantly fell in love with the festivals ethos, vibe, scenery, and of course, spectacular line-ups. Here are five key reasons to as why we LOVE Green Man Festival.
The Line-up Is Always Unbelievable

For a long time we used to observe the Green Man line up poster with awe and it is something that has always remained one of the festivals strongest feats. Every year, without fail, the line-up is filled to the brim with the world’s most exciting underground, emerging, and established talent. Providing something for most kinds of music fans. It really does not miss and 2025 is looking just as juicy with artists such as Wet Leg, Kneecap, English teacher, Gurriers, Big Special, and MORE (a lot more) filling the bill.
It’s In An Area Of Outstanding Beauty

The festival site is nestled in the peaks of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is really hard to put into words just how beautiful the area is. Imagine this, you wake up from a night (and day) of getting your ear tickled by amazing music, you wake up, oak trees and mountains surround you, the fresh Welsh air enters your lungs, and the sun rises above the hills and trees. It is a truly beautiful and unique festival.
One Of The Last Few Completely Independent Festivals

Green Man is one of the three remaining large independent festivals in the UK. When you are on site you can FEEL it. No big corporate sponsors, no advertisements for products, brands, or services between sets, and no bullshit. This is a music festival at its absolute purest form.
All Food & Beverage Vendors Are Locally Sourced And Independent

Last year at Green Man I had never fed and drank myself so well with high quality locally sourced goods. All the alcholol and beverages were locally sourced as was the food and food vendors. So you can dine like a King from food that is locally sourced AND you’ll be supporting independent businesses.
The Festival Gives Back With Their Community Grant

Now in its 11th anniversary year, the Green Man Trust is the charitable arm of the Green Man Festival. The Green Man supports Welsh, national and international talent, champions new ideas and creates opportunities. Fiona Stewart founded the Green Man Trust 11 years ago to extend the festivalโs ambition of supporting future generations and addressing the climate crisis by offering creative, educational, social development opportunities within the arts, sciences and Welsh communities.
Thousands of projects and people have been supported since the trust was founded in 2014. Overall 12,000+ people have been supported by Green Man Trust, with ยฃ2.1million raised, 2000 training placements and schemes completed, 5000 artists receiving development opportunities, 200 science projects created, and 170 grants awarded to help create positive change in Welsh communities. As well as funding for food banks, vulnerable Welsh households affected by flooding, Ukrainian refugees, support of artists during the pandemic and supporting projects which bring communities together and support a fairer society.
Since 2023, the Trust has given over ยฃ72,825 of Community Grants to encourage inclusiveness and wellness in local communities in Powys, and to combat the social and economic impact of the widening wealth and age gap on future generations.
