Ferocious, feisty, and fantastically fun, slacker-pop princess Lauran Hibberd is back with a new single to tease the release of her upcoming EP โGooberโ.
The rising talent that can be likened to Phoebe Green and Abbie Ozard is amongst fierce competition but is steadily making a name for herself. On a seemingly unstoppable upwards trajectory, Hibberd is set to become a fan-favorite and common name on many-a festival line-ups.
โBleughโ is Hibberdโs latest feat, ambitious and utterly satisfying, the pop cut acts as an outlet for frustrations through explosive vocals and attitude-filled spoken word.
Speaking on the new release, Hibberd states โโBleughโ is the only sound that sums up my adult reaction to my pre-naive self. Itโs about always being attracted to people whoโve nothing going on, nothing to offer you, yet itโs that hamster wheel you canโt quite jump off. ย Youโll probably find these people in bands called something like โbroken cyclistsโ or better yet in moody solo projects called something pretentious like โbora boringโ. Itโs my favourite track of mine, and Iโve been sitting on and incubating this girl for a while. It feels really good shouting โBleughโ btw, I recommend you try it outโ.
Boppy and brilliant, the therapeutic, the cut is her most wild yet and makes us even more excited to hear โGooberโ.
