I’m Evan, a 19 year old concert photographer based and raised in Glasgow. Being from Glasgow, I’ve always been around music from a young age, either going to concerts with my parents as young as 5 or playing a variety of instruments throughout my childhood. Photography has also been a passion for many years and to combine both together and music has been nothing but great.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones return to Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket, playing hit after hit, with confident support from Tyler Ballgame

St. Paul & The Broken Bones headlined the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow as part of Celtic Connections this past Sunday with support from Tyler Ballgame. I managed to catch the last half of Tyler’s support set but was blown away: a true vocalist and great support slot to St. Paul.

The packed Old Fruitmarket was such a fitting venue for such a powerful sounding band, who had previously played here in 2022 and the Barrowlands in 2018. Lead singer Paul Laneway’s vocals were nothing short of mesmerising from the first note. The 8 piece from Birmingham, Alabama had Glasgow hooked and it wasn’t going to be an easy night to forget.

The band played hit after hit, keeping the crowd’s spirits high and even debuting one of their new songs for the first time. We were treated to a costume change from Paul Laneway before he headed into the crowd, wandering between fans and upstairs of the Fruitmarket for their encore ‘Sanctify‘.
