London experimental band Fat Dog tease us once again with a blistering second single, ‘All The Same’

With the release of ‘King Of The Slugs’ last year, Fat Dog proved they were more than just a festival buzz band. With their combination of experimental electronics, club beats and post-punk instrumentals, it was the boldest, most entertaining and most outrageous debut single of the year.

Now, with their fanbase and mythology still expanding at a rapid pace, they’re back with their second single ‘All The Same’. The track is more conventional than ‘King Of The Slugs’ but this is by no means an insult; there is no possible way to recreate the shock of hearing that single for the first time.

Clocking in at a shorter 3 minutes, ‘All The Same’ wastes no time, with a PVA-style heavy synth line and electronic kick driving the track. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to see Fat Dog live, you’ll know how hard this one will go live.

As the track opens up, new textures are revealed, with soaring guitar lines, eagle noises and a theatrical quality that we’ve come to expect from the band. Soon though, the relentless beat kicks in again, masterfully balancing over-the-top silliness and heart-pumping electronic production.
