With only a handful of tickets left for Bristol’s Outer Town Festival on Saturday 11th April, here are some of our picks

Every year, we have the pleasure of entering the bustling streets of Bristol’s Old Market for the city’s best day festival, Outer Town. With last year’s lineup including highlights such as Ugly, Man/Woman/Chainsaw and Mass House, expectations are very high for this year’s offering.

With an equally stacked lineup for 2026, a small number of tickets are still available here. Here are some of our picks to help you navigate Outer Town Festival 2026.

wing! | The Exchange @ 18:50

Photography by Matt Wellham

Having caught wing! at last year’s Sลตn Festival, we’re buzzed to catch them again in Bristol. wing!, the winner of last year’s Green Man Rising competition, is the project of producer Adam Swan. September’s debut EP ‘MISSED IT JUST THE ONCE’ was one of the year’s best, blending elements of instrumental hip-hop, trip hop and downtempo into a hypnotic fog.

Live, the project comes to life, with Swan joined by a live band, the tracks only heightened by the addition of live drums and bass alongside his synths and drums machines. Check out our interview with wing! here.

truthpaste | Old Market Assembly @ 22:15

Photography by Kris Kooper

Described as a “band of five people and one trusty computer drum,” Truthpaste‘s form of electronic-tinged indie folk is one of the breeziest and most charming sounds on this year’s lineup. Formed in Manchester and now based in London, Truthpaste recently made their way to Bristol for their Cellar Door performance at The Lousiana, an early highlight gig of the year so far.

If you missed them, now is your chance. With their debut EP ‘I Don’t Know Either,’ set to drop on 28th April, much of their material is currently unreleased – be sure to expect vocal harmonies, saxophone and even some lap steel.

TTSSFU | The Exchange @ 22:10

Photography by Henry Collier

TTSSFU is the musical project of Manchester artist Tasmin Stephens. Her sound, a fuzzy, nostalgic take on indie rock and pop, is timeless, and it’s no surprise she’s one of the buzziest new names on the Manchester scene. As inspired by Blondie and Lou Reed as she is the DIY approach of Alex G, TTSFU sounds familiar yet fresh, like a reunion with an old friend after both of you have had some time to grow.

Having played packed sets at Green Man and The Great Escape and having supported Kim Deal, English Teacher and more, we’re excited to catch her set at Outer Town.

Casual Smart | The Exchange @ 17:40

Photography by Matt Wellham

We’re pretty certain that casual smart have big things on their horizon. One of the youngest bands on the lineup, the five school friends have been gaining attention at festivals, including Sลตn and Green Man, as well as selling out Cardiff’s iconic Clwb Ifor Bach. Heavily influenced by the sentimental art rock of Black Country, New Road, casual smart’s sound is sincere, heartfelt and loveable.

With piano and saxophone at the forefront, new single ‘she’s my love’ is the perfect introduction to the band, with harmonica solos, romantic lyrics and an innocent charm. We love casual smart and we can’t wait for more people to get on board.

The Cindys | The Exchange @ 16:00

Since The Cindys released their debut album late last year via Breakfast Records, it has quickly become one of our favourite new releases. Made up of an amalgamation of some of our favourite bands, The Cindys is led by Jack Ogborne (Bingo Fury), with Naima Bock, Finlay Burrows and Ewan Ferguson + Isaac Green from Belishas making up the full lineup.

The tracks are less experimental than Ogborne’s previous work, instead focusing on simple, catchy songwriting. Having recently supported shame and Getdown Services, now is the perfect time to catch The Cindys.

Ninush | Trinity @ 17:10

Photography by Holly Whitaker

The softest name on our list is Ninush, the new solo project from Nina Lim. Lim spent much of her career as a violinist, collaborating with BC,NR, Geordie Greep and Jockstrap, as well as writing string arrangements for Little Simz, JADE and more.

Now, with her songwriting and vocals taking centre stage, Ninush has released her debut EP ‘The Flowers I See You In’ under Charlie Wayne’s new label The Bird Records. Expect gentle folk songwriting, endearing lyricism and an artist early in her solo career, experimenting with new sounds and building a world of her own.
