โ€˜Rise/Fallโ€™, the title track from SPโ€™s debut EP of the same name, is a firecracker of an 80โ€™s post-punk meets psych-inspired garage rock jam. A building snare roll starts the track, before vocalists Steve Albertsonโ€™s manic high-pitched vocals kick in, upping the tempo and the attitude of the song.

These left-leaning L.A. rockers follow in the footsteps of socially aware bands like The Clash and Subhumans, talking about the toppling of empires and governments over pounding drums and “Rise and Fall”ย warcry of the chorus. If the content of the EP is half as good as this tune, SPโ€™s could be a sleeper hit in the current global political climate of 2019.
