The Goa Express finally mark their return after 9 months with their new single โSecond Timeโ accompanied by a newfound wholesomeness complete with a cycle-centric video. The Goa Express is a five-piece hailing from Manchester and they are James Douglas Clarke โ Guitar / Vocals, Joey Stein – Guitar, Naham Muzaffar โ Bass, Joe Clarke – Keyboard, and Sam Launder – Percussion. Having just announced that theyโre going on a huge tour with part of the stint accompanying The Magic Gang, this enchanting track comes at the perfect time for all.ย โSecond Timeโ is an instant anthem, an indie dreamboat of a track; with guitar riffs to float you through the clouds and vocals with a hint of early 2000s indie pop rivalry.
The video sees the band ride through Manchester and the outer city, letting the viewer in on the band’s antics as a group of close-knit friends. Itโs really a memoir to friendship and having fun with mates – which all of us are craving Iโm sure. The track is a break from the bandโs regular tunes, a more optimistic side to The Goa Express that weโve not seen much of before. A truly perfect anthem for the upcoming summer. The band says, โSecond Time is a song about young people making the same mistakes over and over and over again; a warming ballad which breaks aside from our live performances, foolishly thinking, that it’s able to mend itself.โ
