We are taking over a stage at The Great Estate 2026 and will be highlighting some of the UK’s most promising artists

We are incredibly stoked to be a part of The Great Estate this year as we takeover their ‘Wild Woods’ stage. The Cornish festival, located at Scorrier House and taking place between 29th – 31st May, has always been a staple in the Cornwall music scene. Not only due to brilliant line ups but also due to it’s quirky, off-beat vibe and of course beautiful location. The entire site is flanked by big looming green woods and fields as far as the eye can see, truly a Cornish gem. In the past artists such as Echo & The Bunnymen, The Darkness, and more have graced their stages and provided a unique and rare experience to see some of the world’s best on the small stage.

In fact, The Great Estate was the very first festival that this publication had the privilege of covering many moons ago. Now, we return and will be taking over the ‘Wild Woods’ stage where we aim to highlight the county’s and wider country’s best emerging artists. If you’re heading to The Great Estate Festival this year then our stage will be THE place to discover your next favourite artist.

So, who are we bringing to the festival? Let’s take a look!

Dreamwave

We first caught Dreamwave when they played Wanderfal last year. It was an incredibly wild, bombastic, and freaked out sound. The Bristol based band blend a sound that is reminiscent to early Ty Segall, Osees, and King Tuff, so expect big riffs and frantic energy. You may have seen on socials that the slot that they’re playing was to be congratulations, which we are gutted about BUT we promise Dreamwave will provide the same chaotic fun that was to be expected. Huge shoutout to them for jumping in.

Adult Leisure

One of Bristol’s fasting rising indie outfits that we’ve had the pleasure of bringing down to Cornwall twice already to a sold out Cornish Bank crowd. Now, we bing them to their first ever Cornish Festival and we’re expecting the same emotionally, heartfelt indie rock that made us fall in love with them in the first place. Adult Leisure are no doubt destined for the larger stages so this may be one of the last times you’ll be able to see them in such a setting.

Oswald Slain

A new band on the CLUNK radar but one we’re incredibly excited about. The first taste of Oswald Slain we got with with the track ‘Happiness Is Overrated’, a rip-roaring classic rock track that was driven forward by intensely powerful vocals. It’s pure rock n roll and we love it. Cannot wait to witness it live at this years The Great Estate.

The Dollies

Falmouth’s very own riot grrrl outfit that blends politically charged lyrics with that exciting punk sonic deluge. A uni project run wild The Dollies are hear to lay down the truth about social issues, anti-capitalism, and of course a big fuck you to Tesco.

The Heavenly Bodes

Photography by Ollie Carr

Falmouth’s very own psychedelic gathering of wizards also known as The Heavenely Bodes grace our stage at this years Great Estate in Cornwall. A band that within the Falmouth scene needs no introduction and one that will soon be getting international recognition. They’ve just signed with Fuzz Club to release their debut LP ‘Green Hills’ which signals the beginning of something much larger for the Falmouth band. Latest cuts ‘Faux Pillars’ and ‘De Groene Heuvels’ boast their off-kilter psych sound that will soon fill the airs of The Great Escape.. we cannot wait.

Redro

Another band that has been rocking around the Falmouth scene for a couple of years and one that always impresses. It was an easy booking to make when curating the Wild Wood Stage at The Great Estate. The bands striking guitars, powerful vocals and high energy make them an unrelenting force. Hopefully we get some new music from the band soon! In the meantime, we get to see them live at Scorrier House.

Classic Trucks

A familiar face for those that enjoy the delightful sounds of Langkamer, one of the best bands to come out of Bristol. Well, now we get a taste of Josh (drummer) solo music with the project Classic Trucks. The familiarity is there but this is very much a project set a side from the more rock-centred sound of the aforementioned Langkamer. It’s a softer, more introspective sound that is nothing short of beautiful.

Kitty Crocker

One of Cornwalls hardest working singer-songwriters Kitty Crocker takes the stage for our ‘Wild Woods’ takeover. An artist that is ever evolving and growing, showing huge potential. Especially with the folk/western tinged new single ‘Do Better’, which is out now.

Cosm

A band that describes themselves as “not quite psych, not quite shoegaze”. Another Cornish artist COSM sit perfectly between the genres mentioned. Grabbing the best elements from each and blending it into one whirlwind of a sound. Latest cut ‘Black Holes’ shows the band at their best. It’s a step up and incredibly exciting.

Hongza

Making his Cornish debut for his set at The Great Estate, Hongza travels from the big smoke. Bringing his emotionally charged, shoegazing dream pop that can soundtrack all of lifeโ€™s ups and downs.ย Expect lots of jangly guitars, ethereal vocals and a soundscape that will fill the entire Wild Woods.

Mumble Tide

The Bristol based duo consisting of Gina Leonard and Ryan Rogers also make their debut adventure down to Cornwall for the Great Estate and we cannot be more excited. Their ever-evolving sound blends 80’s pop with ethereal magic that creates a sound that is as dizzying as it is infectious. This is a rare and brilliant opportunity to see one of Bristol’s most creative and brilliant artists.. do not skip Mumble Tide.

Honest Work

Photography by Matt Wellham

It’s rock n roll baby and Honest Work are but simple purveyors of the genre. In a world that feels sanitised Honest Work cut through and bring that intense, guitar driven sound we all know and love. Made up of members of Bristol band Saloon Dion (RIP) the London outfit don’t shy from their rock roots. If your’e looking for a fix of big riffs and snarling rock attitude then you NEED to catch them live at the Wild Woods.

Ead Wood

Another member of Langkamer, the Bristol rock outfit solo project Ead Wood. The debut album from the project ‘Cash Mountain’ came out last year and has been in constant rotation. It’s a delightful combination of yacht rock with Neil Young influences. The perfect soundtrack to a warm summers evening.

Love Fortress

Newly risen Falmouth freakout collective Love Fortress come through the Kernowbeat pipeline. We’re yet to get an official release from the band BUT you can get your ears around some Demo’s via their bandcamp. We promise you, you’ll be treated to a good time and a sonic punch full of 60’s psychedelia.

DIALLER

Another new band we’ve thrown into the mix called Dialler from Falmouth. Expect grunge vibes that blends the 90’s sound with more contemporary versions such as Keo and Wunderhorse and a dash of Geese for good measure.

Jacob Coley

A new face to the shores of Cornwall but one you’ll no doubt be seeing (and hearing) more from as time goes on. The Alt-folk sound that Jacob Coley harnesses is equal parts atmospheric and powerful. A true room filling sonic adventure that borders on the cinematic.

Morning, Cat

Falmouth based newcomers Morning, Cat blend a variety of genres from math-rock, emo, and shoegaze. Itโ€™s early in the bands career but we have a feeling that theyโ€™re going to be a staple within the Falmouth scene.ย

Ghetto Orange (DJ Set)

Ghetto Orange, who studied in Falmouth but hails from London will no doubt bring the absolute THUNDER for our late night party on the Friday. Last year, at Boardmasters we absolutely SHUT DOWN the Mordors tent with a range of Grime, garage, Rap, and more. You’ll not be dissapointed!
