Based in Brighton and London, Jax is a freelance writer who has worked at Abbey Road Studios and been to more festivals than she can remember. She’s all about guitar music, tight instrumentals, heavy bass lines, and lyrics that carry real weight. She holds a BA and MA in Creative Writing and has worked on projects for the National Trust and the Bloomsbury Festival London. Inspired by cross-genre, she is drawn to the moments where music and meaning overlap.

The Lovely Eggs have announced their new album ‘EGGSISTENTIALISM,’ due to be released on May 17 via Egg Records. That’s a lot of eggs!

Their new aptly named single, My Mood Wave,’ is a delightful return to their fluid psychedelic sound just in time for those hazy summer days. It’s been nearly four years since The Lovely Eggs released some of their nostalgic lo-fi music, andMy Mood Wave’  is the perfect lure to their new anticipated album.

Holly Ross’s vocals smash straight in with the wavy guitar riffs; there’s a 70s feel to the track, whilst the playful pockets of pop bring their retro sound to the present. ‘My Mood Wave’ catches you in a net and neatly places you in the driver’s seat of a camper van. It’s beautifully obscure yet comforting, like a perfect weighted blanket hugging you as you sway in the warmth of the golden hour.

The new album ‘EGGSISTENTIALISM’ will feature a run of 500 limited edition LP copies hand numbered and signed by the band. True to the band’s artistry, all direct orders will come with a signed limited print of the album artwork. You can pre-order HERE.
