If you’re under the impression that Cornwall is a country devoid of anything interesting or fun then, well you’re mostly right. However, there are certianly some gems down in this rural county, one said gem is The Velvet Hands.
The four-piece have been working hard to get their sound heard and it’s certianly been paying off, they’ve had constant radio play from Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6) and Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1) as well as constant praise from logs and magazines across the country.
In addition to this the band have also opened up for Paul Weller, Liam Gallagher and Fontaines DC. As well as playing a variety of festivals such as Y Not and Isle Of Wight.
AS they’re priming for the release of their sophomore album they’ve teased us with singles ‘Don’t Be Nice To Me’ and today’s release ‘This Feeling’.
‘This Feeling’ is a short burst of anthemic indie-punk that is driven by a flurry of guitars. It’s daringly infectious and boasts The Velvet Hands‘ ability to craft a party-anthem. If the singles are anything to go by, album #2 is going to be a real belter.

2nd October – Gullivers – Manchester
