Water From Your Eyes announce new album ‘It’s A Beautiful Place’ and release new single ‘Life Signs’
Water From Your Eyes will return with a new album ‘Itโs A Beautiful Place‘ on August 22nd. The New York duoโs upcoming album was largely recorded in Nate Amosโs bedroom but still had a focus on their live show dynamics. The album will shift from sci-fi influenced rock, with tracks such as the albumโs instrumental opener ‘One Small Step‘, to cinematic epics and some folk-inspired moments.
‘It’s A Beautiful Place‘ is set to be an ambitious record that plays with the vastness of existence and is a scale up in sound for the band, who currently play their live shows as a quartet with guitarist Al Nardo and drummer Bailey Willowitz. Amos says, โWe wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledges everythingโs just a tiny blipโ.
The lead single for ‘Itโs A Beautiful Place‘ is โLife Signsโ, which is out now with a music video directed by Rachel Brown. ‘Life Signs‘ blends nu-metal backbeats with the bandโs celestial sound. In some ways, ‘Life Signs‘ is a like a fever dream with staccato notes weaving throughout as Brown constantly gathers strands of narrative and quickly pieces them together, before moving on to the next. The video shows those strands cut together as the band morph through television genres, thereโs even a sprinkling of neo-noir in there when Amos and Brown watch themselves.
The band will support the album with a North American tour starting September 22nd in Philadelphia and a European leg beginning November 13th in London. Stops include major venues in New York, Los Angeles, and Lisbon. Tickets are on sale now.
