One Of The Most Exciting Emerging Acts Wet Leg Have Announced Their Highly Anticipated Debut LP & Shared Two New Tracks

Wet Leg are one of the most exciting artists to emerge in recent times, for multiple reasons. One being their wildly infectious sound that seems to effortlessly become an instant ear worm. The other being that they have achieved a level of hype that bands spend years trying to create, they have done it in under a year and with only two singles below their belts. It’s an incredible feat and one that will be studied by emerging artists for time to come.

One of the most alluring elements of Wet Leg is that they don’t take themselves too seriosly, it’s fun music for those looking for some escapism. As Rhian explains: As a woman, there’s so much put on you, in that your only value is how pretty or cool you look. But we want to be goofy and a little bit rude. We want to write songs that people can dance to. And we want to people to have a good time, even if that might not possible all of the time.”

Now, the band have returned with a delightful treat of two new songs and news of the self-titled debut LP, which will be available April 8th via Domino Records. In addition to this the band have shared two new songs ‘Too Late Now’ and ‘Oh No’. Wet Leg will also be heading out on an extensive tour throughout the USA, UK, and EU in March, which will see them play alongside IDLES on a variety of dates.

The two new singles carry on with the bands dry wit and ever wonderful nonchalant attitude and is of course, at its core fun. Much like their previous releases ‘Wet Dream’ and ‘Chaise Longue’ you are drawn in by the bands implicit approach to songwriting. However, this time we see the bands more vulnerable side as they head towards a more introspective style. ‘Too Late Now’ discusses the world of social media and online dating whilst ‘Oh No’ tackles the dreaded 3am doom scrolling.
